TUMMY TUCK PROCEDURE
Tummy tuck surgery is performed on-site in our South Miami-based medical facility. Dr. Gordon and our entire team of medical personnel are here to make the experience as smooth and pleasant as possible.
In most cases, tummy tuck surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Gordon will carefully mark the areas of skin that he will remove, and an incision is made on your bikini line from hip bone to hip bone. Then, a second incision is created around the belly button. Excess skin is pulled down and removed with any unwanted lingering fatty tissue. If needed, Dr. Gordon will tighten your abdominal muscles with sutures to contour your waist.
After the surgery, your incisions will be sealed with several layers of sutures. Most patients are advised to wear compression garments for 6-8 weeks after tummy tuck surgery. Full recovery time may take up to 8 weeks.
